PRESS RELEASE

July 1, 2024 - Billings, Montana

RASE Safety Assistance, Inc., a non-profit organization based in Billings, Montana, is pleased to announce its primary fundraising event for the 2024 season.

Get Involved and Help Us Help The Kids

We all know the inherent risks that come with riding motorcycles. Those risks are magnified for athletes that race in the sport of flat track. At RASE Safety Assistance, (“RASE” pronounced like ‘race’) our mission is to prevent youth injuries on the racetrack by providing access to the most up-to-date and advanced safety gear possible. Ensuring kids have the very best safety gear prevents injuries and saves lives. Our efforts have helped nearly 100 young racers across the country. Your generosity will help even more kids.

We are excited to announce that our primary fundraiser for our 30+ safety grant applicants in 2024 is going to take place during The Warm Up® Motorcycle Rally event this year.

AWARD WINNING MOVIE The weekend will kick off on Friday August 2nd at the Babcock Theater with the Montana PREMIER of Angels Of Dirt (angelsofdirt.com). As one of the sponsors of the creation of the movie, we are proud to announce that we have been granted one of very few movie showings before the documentary film will be released to the general public. Angels Of Dirt chronicles the life of a young female racer, Charlotte Kainz, who was sponsored by RASE’s founder Michael Marsh.

We are thrilled to confirm that the movie’s creator and director, Wendy Schneider, and one of the movie’s participants, Scottie Deubler, will be present for the showing. The work has been compared to On Any Sunday (by Michael), and features well-known flat trackers such as Scott Parker, Jay Springsteen, Bubba Shobert, Nichole (Cheza) Mees and Mert Lawwill. Being the exclusive Montana PREMIER of the winner of “BEST DOCUMENTARY” at the 2024 Wisconsin Film Festival, Angels promises to draw substantial interest.

FLAT TRACK RACING Following the Friday Montana PREMIER of Angels Of Dirt, Billings Motorcycle Club will host two flat track races on the short track on the BMC “hill climb” grounds Saturday and Sunday. A slate of regional and national riders are expected to stop in Billings on their way to the Sturgis Rally and the two American Flat Track (“AFT”) nationals events to be held the following week in South Dakota.

JOIN OUR TEAM We invite you to join us in supporting these events. Every dollar that you commit to help RASE with the movie event will be awarded to our young athletes. With our budgeted $25,000 in annual safety grants, athletes are able to obtain the best available helmets, inflation vests, boots, neck restraints, and full air bag racing suits. We do this simply to help the kids pursue their racing dreams as safely as possible.

As an IRS approved 501 (c)(3), RASE accepts tax deductible donations and any current new or near new safety equipment you may choose to donate. By supporting us you'll be helping to make racing safer for many young athletes. For more information about RASE Safety Assistance, please visit our website (www.rasesafetyassistance.org).
